ADOR Releases Official Statement Regarding Notice of Exclusive Contract Termination for Danielle
🔗 ADOR: “It Is Difficult for Danielle to Continue as NewJeans… Notice of Exclusive Contract Termination Issued”
Since the finalization of the ruling in the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, ADOR has been in extensive discussions with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and the families of the three members.
Hanni visited Korea with her family and had lengthy, in-depth conversations with ADOR. During this process, they took time to reflect on past events and view the matter objectively. After sincere discussions, Hanni decided to continue with ADOR in respect of the court’s ruling.
Minji has also been in dialogue with ADOR, and discussions to deepen mutual understanding are ongoing.
In the case of Danielle, we have determined that it is difficult for her to continue as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist, and we have issued a notice of exclusive contract termination today. Additionally, we plan to hold legally accountable one of Danielle’s family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who are significantly responsible for causing this dispute and for the departure and delayed return of NewJeans.
Through the dialogue process, ADOR learned that the members had been continuously exposed to distorted and biased information over a long period, leading to significant misunderstandings about the company and ultimately resulting in this dispute. Both the company and the artists agreed that, although it may take some time, a process of fully resolving misunderstandings based on accurate facts is necessary to restore the love of fans and the public. We have also agreed to have an opportunity to address various controversies that arose during the dispute, and we are discussing the timing and method.
ADOR will do its best to resolve this matter amicably and ensure that NewJeans can return to their fans as soon as possible.
On December 29, ADOR stated in an official statement, “In the case of Danielle, we have determined that it is difficult for her to continue as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist, and we have issued a notice of exclusive contract termination today,” adding, “We plan to hold legally accountable one of Danielle’s family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who are significantly responsible for causing this dispute and for the departure and delayed return of NewJeans.”
An ADOR official told The Kyunghyang Shinmun in a phone call that day, “We plan to file a lawsuit against Danielle herself today for penalty for breach of contract and damages,” adding, “We will hold Danielle accountable for causing the grounds for contract termination.”
