Exclusive Report: “HYBE Kicks Out Only NewJeans’ ‘Danielle’”

It has been revealed that HYBE is attempting ‘retaliatory contract termination’ against only Danielle from the group NewJeans, despite all members effectively expressing their intention to return by accepting the first trial ruling in the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract and waiving their appeals—yet HYBE only released return statements for Haerin and Hyein. Among the three members whose return status has not yet been made public, HYBE is singling out Danielle to kick her out.

After splitting the group 2:3, it appears HYBE is retaliating against only Danielle among the remaining three members.

According to Maeil Shinmun’s investigation on December 28, HYBE has recently decided to terminate the exclusive contract with only Danielle, citing violations of the exclusive contract terms. An anonymous industry insider said, “HYBE is preparing an official announcement regarding Hanni and Minji’s return, while measures such as contract termination are planned for Danielle.”
