On November 12, following the court’s decision, all NewJeans members expressed their intention to return to ADOR. Although the return that HYBE and ADOR had so desperately wanted became reality, what came back was only the company’s ambiguous attitude and distorted media play. The irresponsible speculative reports that have resulted from this are pushing the artists into the center of public controversy.
An agency cannot claim its rights while abandoning its duty to protect its artists. Bunnies, the fans of NewJeans, strongly condemn this contradictory situation where the agency is instead holding back its artists. We demand that the agency immediately abandon its double standards that undermine the foundation of the artists’ activities and fulfill its fundamental responsibilities.
1. Immediate Fulfillment of the Basic Duty to Protect Artists
HYBE and ADOR, why do you claim the exclusive rights of an agency while abandoning the protective duties that come with them? Guaranteeing and protecting the personal rights of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein is the first step toward restoring trust and an essential promise that an agency must keep. Please implement immediate and visible measures to protect them from all elements that threaten the dignity of the artists.
2. End Irresponsible Neglect and Wasteful Public Relations Warfare
Over the past year and six months, more than 66,600 articles have been published. While the artists were exposed to indiscriminate media bombardment, the agency essentially stood by and clearly neglected its duties. Do not continue to tolerate the smear campaigns and distorted framing that are being carried out under the company’s lukewarm attitude. Silence and neglect are tantamount to complicity in harm.
3. Transparent Disclosure of Legal Action Results
