mhdhh_pr Releases Official Statement Refuting ‘NewJeans Parents Division Rumors’
Hello. This is from all the members’ parents.
The reports by some media outlets claiming ‘a split has occurred among the members’ parents’ are completely untrue. We are releasing this statement to correct any misunderstandings.
All five members have a firm stance that they cannot return to HYBE, and this is a decision made after thorough discussions with their respective families. Since we promised from the beginning that legal action would not be initiated unless all five agreed, the members deeply trust and stand united with each other.
The members continue to maintain the same position, and we parents fully respect and unwaveringly support our children’s wishes. Despite the current difficult situation, the five members frequently meet and continue their unchanged friendship, and we parents have also been communicating more regularly through these difficulties and maintaining close relationships. We are dismayed and disappointed to see baseless rumors about family splits and member departures being published as news articles.
We felt the intent of someone trying to instigate division, so we thought it wasn’t worth responding to. However, since it has reached the point where specific members’ real names are being mentioned, we are releasing this statement.
The rumors regarding member Haerin are completely different from the facts. Haerin as well as Haerin’s parents are all firmly in agreement, and all other speculation about family matters is also untrue. Due to unfounded one-sided speculation, the member and her entire family are experiencing extreme psychological distress.
The custody adjustment made in respect of a minor child’s wishes concerns a different member, and since the child and mother in this family also have firm convictions, we ask that speculation about this family’s matters also be refrained.
We want to make it clear that all families currently respect and support their respective children.
Article 10 of the Family Litigation Act stipulates that ‘regarding cases being processed or processed by the family court, facts or photographs that allow one to infer who the person is based on name, age, occupation, appearance, etc. cannot be published in newspapers, magazines, or other publications or broadcast.’ Furthermore, Article 72 specifies criminal punishment provisions for violations of the reporting ban.
Please keep this in mind and refrain from reckless speculation and dissemination of personal information.
The custody issue is a personal family matter. We hope that this matter will not be maliciously exploited in connection with ‘the legal dispute with ADOR’ in the future.
A company that should be built on trust is exploiting members’ family matters for media play.
As parents, we cannot send our children back there.
ADOR and HYBE, with their changed management, have never once shown us trustworthiness,
and this remains unchanged to this day.
