Five NJZ Members Attend Injunction Examination Date
NewJeans (NJZ) and ADOR engaged in a sharp confrontation, showing differences in their views. NewJeans (NJZ) emphasized that they have lost trust in ADOR, while ADOR maintains that they fulfilled their duties as an agency, including settlement payments, to NewJeans (NJZ).
At 10:30 AM on the 7th, the hearing for the injunction filed by ADOR against the five NewJeans (NJZ) members seeking preservation of their status as the management agency and prohibition of advertising contract signing, among other matters, was held before the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court. On this day, all five NewJeans (NJZ) members entered the courtroom wearing matching black outfits. Their expressions were somewhat tense, but they showed composure, even giving faint smiles to the press. ADOR CEO Kim Joo-young also attended the trial with a somber expression.
NewJeans shared their thoughts with the press after completing approximately 2 hours of questioning at the hearing for ADOR’s injunction seeking preservation of their status as management agency and prohibition of advertising contract signing, held before the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of the 7th.
When asked about the reason for appearing in person, NewJeans stated, “Since this is a matter related to us, we thought it would be better for us to attend in person.”
When asked what would happen to scheduled performances if the court ruled in ADOR’s favor, they replied, “If possible, we plan to proceed with what we’ve planned as scheduled.”
Regarding what they most wanted to emphasize on this day, NewJeans said, “We feel we were able to properly explain the pressure we have experienced, so we have no regrets,” adding, “We believe we conveyed everything about what we’ve been through.”
