HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk Alleged to Have Tried to Cancel NJZ ComplexCon Performance
We recently received word from ComplexCon representatives who have been helping us prepare for the performance that HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk personally called contacts in the United States to pressure them into canceling NJZ members’ performance. Is it too much of a stretch to speculate that today’s sudden joint statement by five industry organizations may be related to this? We were extremely offended and angry, and it became clear to us that HYBE has not changed at all—they still see the members as nothing more than a means to make money, and rather than supporting their success, they are only interested in obstructing and suffocating them. We have since received reports that ADOR has also attempted to interfere in various ways.
Chairman, when we sent a protest email in April 2024, we requested a response from you, but you have not provided any answer to this day. If you have so much to say, please call us directly instead of reaching out elsewhere. We also do not understand why the Chairman of all of HYBE is personally intervening in a dispute with ADOR. Do you still believe you can claim that ADOR and HYBE are separate entities?
The NJZ members are scheduled to perform at the ComplexCon event in Hong Kong. Having escaped the nightmare that was HYBE and ADOR, the members are excited and eagerly preparing for the performance, looking forward to showing their new selves to fans around the world for the first time. Despite these acts of interference, the ComplexCon Hong Kong performance will proceed as scheduled, so we ask fans to continue showing your passionate interest and support.
