Hello. This is a joint statement from the parents of the members.

The claim reported by some media outlets that “there is a division among the members’ parents” is entirely untrue. We are releasing this statement to correct this misunderstanding.

All five members firmly maintain that they cannot return to HYBE, and this is a decision made after thorough discussions with their respective families. From the very beginning, they promised that they would not proceed with any legal action unless all five members agreed, and the members deeply trust and stand united with one another.

The members continue to maintain the same position to this day, and we, as parents, fully respect our children’s wishes and continue to support them without wavering. Despite the current difficult circumstances, the five members frequently meet and continue their unwavering friendship, and we, as parents, have also been communicating more regularly through these hardships and maintaining close relationships. Therefore, we can only feel bewildered and dismayed to see baseless rumors about family division and members leaving the group being published as news articles.

We felt as though there was an intent by someone to instigate division, so we initially thought it was not worth responding to. However, we are issuing this statement because the situation has escalated to the point where specific members’ real names are being mentioned.

The rumors regarding member Haerin are completely false. Haerin and her parents are firmly aligned in their stance, and all other speculation about their family affairs is also untrue. Due to these baseless, one-sided speculations, both the member and her family are experiencing extreme emotional distress.

The parental rights adjustment that was conducted in respect of a minor child’s wishes pertains to a different member, and since this family is also firmly aligned in the wishes of the child and the mother, we request that speculation about this family’s affairs also be refrained from.

We want to make it absolutely clear that all families are currently respecting and supporting their respective children.

Article 10 of the Family Litigation Act stipulates that “with respect to any case which is under process or has been processed by a family court, facts or photographs from which the identity of the person concerned may be inferred based on their name, age, occupation, appearance, etc. shall not be published in newspapers, magazines, or other publications, or be broadcast.” Furthermore, Article 72 specifies criminal penalties for violations of this prohibition of reporting.

Please bear this in mind and refrain from reckless speculation and dissemination of personal information.

Parental rights issues are a private family matter. We hope that this matter will not be maliciously exploited by linking it to “the legal dispute with ADOR” in the future.

A company that should be built on trust is exploiting a member’s family affairs for media manipulation.

As parents, we cannot send our children back to such a place.

ADOR and HYBE, under the new management, have never once shown us any trustworthiness,

and this remains unchanged to this day.
