Hello, this is Source Music.

We are issuing this statement to correct inaccuracies among the claims raised today regarding our company and our artists.

LE SSERAFIM did not receive any special treatment or unjust benefits in the process of being selected as ambassadors for a specific brand. Our relationship with the brand first began in April 2022 when Sakura signed a contract with the brand. This came about through discussions initiated by the brand’s Japan office about the possibility of expanding to a team-wide ambassadorship, following mutually satisfactory collaboration results, and proceeded entirely independently of any other artists. This can be sufficiently proven through objective materials, and we clearly state that we are prepared to provide clarification at any time as legally necessary.

The claims additionally raised regarding the timing and process of NewJeans’ debut are also very different from the objective facts. Our company spared no effort in providing all support for debut preparations until the point when the NewJeans members were transferred to ADOR. Nevertheless, as former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin disseminated false information at her press conference in April of last year, we filed a damages claim against the former CEO in July to correct her false claims, and the lawsuit is currently ongoing. We express deep regret that one-sided claims were made without even minimal effort to ascertain accurate facts, and we expect that baseless, one-sided claims will be corrected through future court proceedings.

Mentioning artists by name based on unverified, inaccurate information is an irresponsible and serious act that should not be done to any artist. This not only causes fellow artists to be criticized through one-sided claims but also instills false perceptions in fans and the public, and there is concern that it will create an environment rife with baseless claims unrelated to accurate facts.

Our company takes this situation very seriously and will take all necessary legal measures to rectify this.
