We would like to provide clarification regarding the memorial ribbon mentioned during today’s injunction hearing.

We are issuing this notice because incorrect information regarding the memorial ribbon is spreading. There is no reason for the company to prevent artists from wearing memorial ribbons.

At the time, HYBE was conducting a comprehensive review of whether and how artists across all labels, not just NewJeans, would wear memorial ribbons.

Taking into account Japan’s broadcasting conditions, which differ from Korea’s, we communicated to each label that prior coordination with broadcasters was necessary. We also coordinated in advance with the broadcasting station regarding subtitles and MC comments explaining the reason for wearing the memorial ribbons.

During this process, all artists expressed their intention to wear them, and we intended to provide NewJeans with the same ribbons. However, they expressed their wish to wear ribbons they had prepared themselves, and this was respected in the final decision.
