Hello.

Yesterday and today, speculative articles regarding Hanni’s residency status in Korea have been flooding in, and false facts are spreading, so we wish to correct this.

Hanni received a new visa yesterday (Feb 11) through lawful procedures.

ADOR pressured the parents and the individual using the ‘visa issue’—a matter that is inevitably sensitive for foreigners residing in Korea—as leverage, such as by demanding signatures on an extension consent form listing ADOR as the agency and sending emails stating that failure to agree could result in becoming an illegal resident. They even displayed behavior that is incomprehensible by common sense, such as arbitrarily submitting documents requiring personal information and her own signature to relevant agencies without consent and notifying us afterward.

Some media outlets are abusing the term ‘illegal resident’ based on unverified facts and spreading false rumors, causing even unnecessary civil complaints. Furthermore, regarding the visa progress which can only be verified with personal information, they are spreading false facts by citing sources such as ‘anonymous music industry official’ or ‘multiple music industry officials.’ Unlike the position conveyed in today’s articles stating ‘ADOR cannot confirm,’ one can verify that the initially reported article conveyed that ‘ADOR tried to prepare all documents and apply for visa extension, but the party involved refused to sign for the extension.’

Approximately 70 articles have poured out just yesterday and today, including speculative reports on the type of visa and expiration date—personal information that there is no obligation to disclose—causing a severe infringement of rights and interests. We express deep regret that information which could only be provided by ‘ADOR,’ who possesses the current members’ personal information (other than the ‘parties involved’ themselves), has been indiscriminately spread through the media.

Using or leaking personal information without consent is unacceptable, and we believe that the media publishing articles without verifying or validating this is also a serious problem. The situation is becoming increasingly serious, with previous instances such as using individual members’ personal information to find out immigration details.

We are considering relevant legal actions to protect the members.

Thank you for reading this long text, and we apologize for causing worry and inconvenience to the fans.
