Purpose of Petition: To promote the soundness and sustainability of the system designed for realizing talent development and building a cooperative labor-management culture by taking measures to cancel the selection of HYBE, where workplace bullying issues have been raised, as a Leading Company in Job Creation.
Content of Petition:
During the Environment and Labor Committee’s audit on October 15, 2024, Rep. Park Hong-bae demanded the cancellation of HYBE’s designation as a Leading Company in Job Creation in relation to its workplace bullying issues.
However, the Ministry of Employment and Labor is not disclosing information regarding the investigation progress or future schedule for the cancellation of the designation, citing the filing of a complaint to the regional office and the ongoing investigation as reasons.
This can only be seen as negligence of duty by the ministry regarding the demand to secure the soundness of the system raised at the National Assembly level.
The cancellation of the Leading Company in Job Creation designation due to workplace bullying has already been implemented for “Company ***” in April 2022.
We request a National Assembly-level investigation and urge prompt processing regarding the fact that a swift decision is not being made on a matter for which there is already a precedent.
