Hello, this is Team Bunnies.
We ask for your understanding for our having to unavoidably post multiple statements due to HYBE’s repeated and irrational media play.

Team Bunnies is a team of Bunnies actively working in various fields such as law, media, finance, culture, and the arts. We are actively responding to the current situation while living diligently in our respective positions, driven by a pure heart to cheer for NewJeans.

After former CEO Min Hee-jin’s interview was published in the JoongAng Ilbo today, we received a tip from an official within the JoongAng Ilbo Group that HYBE CCO (Chief Communications Officer) Park Tae-hee is making unreasonable demands to remove Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s name from the article and even to delete the article entirely.

Furthermore, we are receiving additional tips from several reporters that there was pressure and various forms of interference from HYBE during the job change process of journalist Jang Hyung-woo, who made a report for the public interest. We want to ask if it is acceptable in 2024 for a PR executive of a mere private company to interfere with the future personnel affairs of a whistleblower at another company, simply because a journalist made a report based on journalistic ethics.

Currently, the content distributed by NewJeans, former CEO Min Hee-jin, and our Team Bunnies is being covered only by a few select media outlets, while the majority of entertainment media are extensively reporting only HYBE’s unilateral claims. This is causing a severe imbalance of information.

Even after yesterday’s exposure, HYBE continues to put unreasonable pressure on media outlets and demand article revisions. They are also committing serious slander, spreading flyers (rumors), obstructing job changes, invading privacy, and exerting pressure on other companies regarding public interest whistleblower journalist Jang Hyung-woo. We strongly demand that these organized and unjust acts stop immediately.

We ask CCO Park Tae-hee to stop cowardly circulating flyers behind the scenes and to stop exhausting so many people. If you have nothing to hide, come out confidently to publicly represent the company’s stance, and refute the claims with clear grounds and data. It was your own decision to ruin your reputation through PR; please stop the base behavior of trying to ruin another person’s life just because your own path is blocked.

HYBE must clearly realize that they can no longer cover up the truth in any way.
