Team Bunnies Notice

🔗 2024-09-13 Team Bunnies Notice

Hello. This is Team Bunnies.

We cannot hide our shock at ADOR’s exaggerated lies and HYBE’s actions, so we wish to inform you.

The petitions submitted by Team Bunnies were all planned and prepared directly by our team members and the Bunnies who helped us. We also contacted the signature service provider to negotiate the price for the signatures ourselves, and we directly requested a lawyer and received advice for free. The lawyer only helped with the submission. Also, since you mentioned ‘guaranteeing the right of reply when making reports related to our company,’ we would like to convey the current situation and additional facts we haven’t told you.

The previous notice containing the submission of additional evidence for the complaint on September 11 and some tip-off contents from reporters was scheduled to be reported as an article, not on Twitter. However, it was rejected by the desks (editors) at various media outlets, so it could not be reported, and eventually, we uploaded it to Twitter. Since it was the stance of a mere fandom, not the official stance of ADOR, HYBE, or CEO Min Hee-jin, we accepted it without much complaint that it wasn’t reported.

But the news we heard today was just absurd. Whenever an article favorable to NewJeans came out or was about to come out, HYBE immediately protested to the reporter or the media desk, and they were proceeding with not only strong pressure but also threats such as saying they would report them if the right of reply was not guaranteed. Even if reporters write articles, they need approval from the desk, but the answer was that they could not pass because of protests received from HYBE; in other words, it could not be published.

We also received the answer, “Since the situation is burdensome just with articles representing NewJeans’ side, it is difficult for articles about your [fandom’s] stance or the representative’s stance to be released.” Articles representing NewJeans’ side include both the lawyer’s rebuke delivered today and the stance and content of Workplace Gapjil 119. How bad must it be that reporters say they are scared? Nevertheless, reporters who conveyed their desire to help contacted us, so we communicated to cooperate on the future complaint investigation schedule, etc.

Since the incident broke out last April until now, HYBE has never once requested a correction for malicious articles about NewJeans, nor have they ever protested. Why do you protest to media outlets, apply pressure, and threaten them simply because the stance is favorable to NewJeans? Is this the procedure of “following procedures” that HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang personally mentioned?

Today (13th), we submitted a 72-page ‘Report on Misconduct of HYBE Co., Ltd.’ to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (e-People), and a visit for an interview is scheduled for the 23rd. On that day, we plan to submit supplementary documents, evidentiary materials, and additional details in person to the relevant department. Also, the targets of the next complaint we are preparing include HYBE CCO (Chief Communications Officer) Park Tae-hee, PR Office Lead Cho Seong-hun, ADOR CEO Kim Ju-young, and Vice CEO Lee Do-kyung.

Thank you to the reporters who help us and everyone who reads this. We hope all of HYBE’s atrocities are revealed. Because there is a lot that even we haven’t disclosed yet.
