CEO Min Hee-jin Official Statement (Full Text)
🔗 2024-07-24 CEO Min Hee-jin Official Statement (Full Text)
Today (July 24), ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and others filed a complaint at the Yongsan Police Station against HYBE CEO Park Ji-won, Audit Committee Chairman Lim Soo-hyun, Chief Legal Officer Jung Jin-soo, Chief Financial Officer Lee Kyung-jun, and Chief Communication Officer Park Tae-hee for obstruction of business, inspection of contents of electronic records, etc., and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (infringement of information and communications network, etc., and defamation).
The aforementioned accused have repeatedly leaked private messenger conversations and personal information obtained illegally, and have engaged in the practice of editing them deceptively to suit their intentions. In April, with the aim of dismissing CEO Min Hee-jin following her two internal whistleblowing reports, the accused forcibly acquired ADOR-owned work laptops used by the complainants under the pretext of an “audit of a subsidiary by the parent company.” Through this, they secured the complainants’ private KakaoTalk message conversations. They also forensically analyzed a laptop that CEO Min Hee-jin had reset and returned upon taking office at ADOR around 2022, thereby illegally obtaining personal conversations unrelated to work.
Furthermore, the accused edited and distorted the obtained private conversation contents to create press releases containing false information regarding complainant Min Hee-jin’s management and performance of duties. They distributed these to the media, utilizing them to form negative public opinion against complainant Min Hee-jin.
The complainants have repeatedly requested, both officially and unofficially, that such actions—which harm the artists and ADOR members and cause confusion among the public—be stopped, but the illegal activities of the accused have continued until recently. Consequently, we are taking this measure as we can no longer overlook the damage inflicted upon the artists and ADOR members caused by these illegal acts.
