Statement
Hello. We are a group of people from Bunnies, the NewJeans fandom, united in search of a new alternative. We are deeply concerned that the conflict between HYBE and Min Hee-jin has placed NewJeans’ activities at the center of unnecessary controversy, ultimately leading to the suspension of their activities. We are also worried that this situation may worsen following the first instance ruling in the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract on October 30.
Accordingly, we release the following statement.
1. We hope for NewJeans’ return to ADOR
As fans, we respect the decisions made by the NewJeans members. However, three consecutive losses in injunction lawsuits are making it difficult for NewJeans to carry out activities. As fans, we are deeply concerned about the risks NewJeans currently faces and will continue to face. If they return to ADOR, they can resume activities and dispel the critical public sentiment.
2. A framework for their return must be established
NewJeans has stated Min Hee-jin’s reinstatement as CEO as a precondition for their return. However, achieving this requires concessions and compromise.
* NewJeans’ exclusive contract period should be extended by 1–2 years to create a structure that compensates for the hiatus period.
* CEO Min Hee-jin must forfeit her put option (stock sale request right) payment as the price for her reinstatement.
* In return, HYBE must approve CEO Min Hee-jin’s return to ADOR and provide support so that NewJeans can work in a stable environment.
Let us create a better future through a compromise that benefits everyone.
3. HYBE’s contribution to NewJeans’ success cannot be denied
NewJeans’ success was never created by just one person’s hands. It was made possible by CEO Min Hee-jin’s artistic vision combined with HYBE’s system and capital working together.
We do not deny HYBE’s contribution. Therefore, in order to preserve the fruits of that success, we believe a decision toward coexistence and cooperation, rather than mutual blame, is now necessary.
NewJeans’ future will be most beautiful when it blooms in harmony, not conflict. We, Bunnies, will also do our best for a better future. Thank you.
