Weverse Excludes NewJeans from Special App Icon Change Vote
1. From March 10 to March 20 at 13:59, the Weverse app held a voting event for users to select ‘My Artist’ among all artists on Weverse (including all HYBE subsidiary idols + artists and actors from other companies)
2. NewJeans does not exist
HYBE and Weverse excluded MHDHH from the voting. According to what ADOR has argued in court so far, NewJeans’ contract is still in effect, and since they are naturally listed on Weverse, an affiliated platform, they should have been included in the voting—but they were not. This can be seen as an indirect yet public example showing that HYBE itself has no right to be preserved regarding MHDHH.
It’s a win-win for both sides. HYBE abandons New and starts fresh, while MHDHH gets away from HYBE..
If they had already made that internal judgment and were operating their business accordingly, instead of playing victim with false claims in court, shouldn’t they withdraw the injunction and settle the dispute in the main lawsuit?
Is this revealing that they ultimately filed the injunction and are fighting just for media play?
And yet they keep doing media play in the meantime..
