On the 7th, ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, who is in dispute with HYBE, Korea’s largest music label, filed an injunction at Seoul Central District Court against HYBE to prohibit the exercise of voting rights related to CEO Min’s dismissal. ADOR is a label under HYBE that exclusively manages the popular girl group NewJeans.
On this day, Shin & Kim LLC, the legal representative for CEO Min, stated, “HYBE has requested the convening of an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting regarding the dismissal motion for CEO Min Hee-jin, who serves as CEO and inside director and has led ADOR’s management and NewJeans’ success, which violates the shareholders’ agreement signed between (HYBE and) CEO Min.” They added, “With the right to demand performance of the shareholders’ agreement as the right to be preserved, HYBE should not exercise voting rights in favor of CEO Min’s dismissal motion.”
