HYBE, which is auditing whether its subsidiary ADOR attempted to seize management rights, promised psychological healing and emotional stability for the group NewJeans in its interim audit results announcement.

On the 25th, HYBE stated through an official press release, “HYBE plans to do its best to provide psychological and emotional care for the NewJeans members and support their successful comeback. We also plan to meet with the members’ legal guardians as soon as possible to discuss measures to protect the members.”

HYBE CEO Park Ji-won said, “I am deeply sorry to the fans, artists, and all our members for causing concern with these events that occurred during the process of advancing our multi-label system,” adding, “Now that this matter has been concluded, we will do our best for the psychological healing and emotional stability of artists, who are precious assets of K-pop.”

The following is the full statement from HYBE regarding the protection of NewJeans’ rights and interests.

Hello.

This is HYBE.

We would like to inform you about our legal response to protect NewJeans’ rights and interests.

NewJeans will continue various activities including the release of their new music video scheduled for the 27th, as well as double single releases in May and June. We will do our best to support NewJeans so that their comeback activities are not disrupted.

Recently, a large number of malicious posts have been detected that infringe on artist rights and damage their reputation, including defamation, groundless malicious slander, mockery, and disparagement directed at the artists. We have been taking ongoing legal action regarding NewJeans, but as we have determined that malicious acts toward the members have reached a serious level, we have decided to additionally retain a separate law firm to respond in order to protect artist rights and interests.

HYBE will thoroughly collect all matters that infringe on artist rights and interests and take all possible legal measures to protect NewJeans. We would like to state that, consistent with our existing legal response approach, we will respond firmly by applying a zero-tolerance policy with no leniency or settlements.

In addition, we plan to provide full material and moral support for the artists’ psychological healing and emotional stability. We earnestly request that you cease all indiscriminate attacks and disparaging behavior toward the artists.

Thank you.
